Nowadays, traditional paintings often struggle to stand out, as people are increasingly drawn to materialistic and luxurious elements like gold and shiny finishes. In this project, we wanted to challenge that mindset. We believe that the value of a handmade painting—its story, emotion, and human touch—is far greater than any surface-level luxury. So, we wrapped the artwork in real gold foil, giving it that immediate luxurious appeal. But the real magic happens through augmented reality, where the gold is virtually removed to reveal the true heart of the painting beneath. It’s our way of saying: real beauty lies beyond the surface, and technology can help us reconnect with the deeper meaning of art.
